Afro Candy took to her Facebook page to blast Nigerians who called her names when she released her movie trailer when they pay watch BBA “Tasteless $ex scenes” inside their rooms.

For those of you that just started watching Nollywood Movies, I have been around, even though I left Nigeria when I was just about to hit the actual Stardom and Transformed to AfroCandy. When I was in Nollywood, Ini Edo had not even a Bicycle and I drove her to the Locations twice I worked with her, Macy Johnson was still running around looking for waka pass to play, Now that I came back in full force to take back my position most of you are mad. Cultural Obligations Versus Marital Bliss! Watch the Trailer for Andrew Dosunmu’s Film – “Mother of George”

We’re so excited about this movie we knew we HAD to share! Andrew Dosunmu is the amazing director behind “Mother of George“. The cinematography is simply amazing and the plot is simple yet intriguing. Mother of George premiered to critical acclaim at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and will be released at cinemas in the second week of September.
Starring brilliant actors like Danai Gurira (Fans of AMC’s Walking Dead will know Danai), Isaach De Bankolé (from White Material), Tony Okungbowa, Bukky Ajayi and Angelique Kidjo – the film is about a Nigerian couple living in Brooklyn. Marital problems arise from their inability to have a baby and then issue goes on to drive a wedge in their family.

According to the producers: “Dosunmu captures the nuances of this unique and fascinating culture by creating a beautiful, vibrant, and moving portrait of a couple whose joys and struggles are at once intimate and universal.“

The film was written by Darci Picoult, and produced by Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy of Parts & Labo.

Ghanaian Heartthrob Chris Attoh set to exit “Tinsel”

Ghanaian TV and movie star Chris Attoh has reportedly confirmed his impending exit from popular M-Net soapie “Tinsel“. The actor who has branched out into TV and movie production released a statement via his South Africa based management representatives, Waka Talent.

According to the statement, here is what Chris had to say about his exit from Tinsel – ”The last seven years on Tinsel have been an incredible journey and experience for me. Working with M-Net was phenomenal and it took a lot of deliberation but I have decided to pursue other career interests.”

Chris will continue to film scenes for “Tinsel” over the next few weeks. We wonder what will happen to his character Kwame Mensah!
