Nigerian Singer ChiDynma D’Voice is now “Chee” – New Look, New Sound | Check Out Her New Promo Shots

The singer formerly known as ChiDynma D’Voice is re-branded, re-energized and Chee is ready to go!
Chidinma Okebalama first came into our lives with the music video to her single “Obimmo” back in 2011. And, ever since then, she went on quite a hiatus from the scene ‘to regroup and wait for the perfect moment for a return’.
“Having the right label or management, working with the right producer and just generally being in the right mindset are critical to having a successful career. I felt I needed to pause and put all the necessary structures in place before I moved on with my career. As life may have it this process has taken close to 2 years”
But, she wasn’t too far away from the limelight as she continued to hone her stagecraft by performing at high profile events and weddings such as The CAF Awards and most recently, the Mid term dinner for President Goodluck Jonathan’s Transformation Team in June 2013.
It was off these feats that she got herself a GLO endorsement back in May 2013 and is ready to make a solid comeback under her own record label imprint, Republic of Chee.
“With months of tireless work in the studio, Chee is now more than ever ready to go. She will be officially announcing her return to the mainstream music scene with a new single aptly titled “A Nom Ebea” an Igbo phrase, which translates to “I Am Here”. The single is scheduled for release on Tuesday, July 8th 2013.”
The single is produced by Burna Boy‘s only producer, LeriQ.
Check out her new promo photos!

A Tale of Betrayal, Forgiveness & Redemption! View Photos from the ‘Burning Hurt’ by Unyime-Ivy King Book Launch

Burning Hurt - BellaNaija - July2013
A universal story of betrayal, neglect, forgiveness, redemption and love – The launch of the debut novel, ‘Burning Hurt’, a literary fiction novel, by Unyime-Ivy King on Thursday 6th June, 2013 in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. The book is a work of literary fiction which appeals to the dictates of moral values of Christians, with the aim of promoting good moral values in the home and society by encouraging youths to sow ‘righteous oats’.
Set in the planes of Southern Nigeria, the book also emphasizes the importance of the family unit as the key to reducing dysfunction in the larger unit which is the society. It is a seamless blend of both the Ibibio dialect of Akwa Ibom State, and the English language. Activities that marked the book launch included a red carpet, a theater presentation of ‘Burning Hurt’ by the Burning Hurt Play House (the stage play was a compendium of dance, music and drama), release of the book’s theme song: I am Letting Go, sang byGreatGift Nicholas, and book trailers, including an audio trailer of chapter one of the novel.
Sanvee Schools selected some of their best readers to read excerpts from ‘Burning Hurt’ as part of the side attractions of the day. On the other hand there was a review panel, made up of some notable minds, readers and writers of repute to mention a few. These included: the wife of the Ambassador of the High Commission Trinidad and Tobago to Nigeria, Her Excellency, Dela Obika, Wife of Hon. Onofiok Luke, Executive member, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Uduak Onofiok Luke, Barrister Andem Ndem,Martin AkpanJohn Ekphikhe and Ime Ikpe. They spoke about the ‘burning issues’ in the book and how the book impacted them.
The author, speaking on her reasons for writing the book said “The consequences of some of our wrong or ill-advised decisions in life may not always play out the way it did in this story, but if all I succeed in doing, is make many people have a re-think, before embarking on an irrational course of action, I would be fulfilled”.
