MBGN 2013 Belles Display their Vibrant & Rich Cultures! See the Traditional Style of the 32 Contestants

The competition is getting really hot! On Friday, BN Beauty introduced the MBGN 2013 contestants, now the contestants are showcasing the vibrant and rich culture of the states they represent in traditional attires.

From dramatic costumes to the stunning accessories, this shoot as it all.

The set for the shoot, was built to depict Nigeria’s tropical rainforest while the paddle and fishing nets symbolises Bayelsa’s rich farming culture. As a result of not having delegates from all states, the chosen contestants are randomly assigned states, this avails them the opportunity to research and learn more about the state.

The 32 contestants are in a camp in Yenagoa, Bayelsa prepping for the D-day. Watch all the live action on Silverbird TV on Saturday 20th July 2013 by 7 PM.

It is no doubt that not many men would allow their wives to take up acting as profession and the reason is not far-fetched. With the jealous nature of men, it is very rare to see a man accepting another man cuddling or touching his wife all in the name of acting or practising a profession she likes.

That is why it is very common in this part of the world to see actresses dumping acting shortly after getting married. Most of the men they marry tend to kick against the profession after they must have said 'I do'.

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, who is married to a pilot, Capt Mathew Ekeinde is one of the sexiest screen divas in the movie industry in Nigeria, and most men would like to do anything to have for keeps.

When in front of the camera, the mother of four delivers and interprets her role to the letter. When it comes to romantic scenes, she gives her all in making her character looks real, which surprises most of her fans, who wonder how her husband takes such scenes when he stumbles on them.

When asked by one of her fans on twitter, a popular micro-blogging platform, if her hubby gets jealous when a guy kisses her on set, the actress answered in the affirmative.

“Does your husband get jealous when you kiss a guy in a movie?” a fan asked the Ondo State-born actress, and she replied, “Yes, if the guy is cute.”

Now you know how Omosexy's husband reacts to her romantic scenes in movies when he sees them.

There’s a requirement to preserve the sanctity of life in order to maintain the balance of humanity. Recently, the spate of killing in Nigeria makes one wonder where we’re headed as a nation.

Man’s inhumanity to man has been on the lips of so many of us in the past few weeks but beneath all of it lies ignorance, lack of education and greed.

Recently, we got news of the Lead poisoning in Zamfara State which has been killing children in that state. Upon further research, we found that the prevalence of the lead poisoning is as a result of illegal mining taking place in the state. The mines are called ‘artisanal mines’.  Apparently, gold is intermingled with lead in the Northern part of Nigeria and because of the methods of extraction used, there’s a high level of lead dust in the air.

The children play in the sand and get lead poisoning. For a long time, children were just dying mysteriously. Prolonged exposure to lead, dust and mercury was causing lung cancer, emphysema… the list is endless.

Doctors Without Borders has set up clinics but it’s not enough! With one voice, we need to raise awareness and save our children.

Taking a Style Cue from the 50s! Design label Revamp presents its Spring/Summer 2013 Collection – “Classic Illusion”

This collection reminds me so much of the 50s – classic, retro and very feminine. Exploring a more formal period women dressed smartly and looking like a lady was a key fashion statement, The Revamp design label owned by Peaceful Owoghiri created the Spring/Summer collection titled “Classical Illusion“.

The designs that make up the collection have waist clinging skirts and structured tops made from silk, brocades and laces in some of this seasons hottest pastel colours.
