Funke Akindele and ex-husband head to court

Actress Funke Akindele popularly known as Jenifa and her ex-husband, Kehinde Oloyede are heading to court for the final dissolution of their marriage.

When it was announced that the actress’ marriage had crashed, a number of people took it with a pinch of salt, especially with widespread reports of celebrity hacking on the social media.

It all started when Funke’s husband Kehinde Oloyede posted the news of their separation on his facebook page saying, “It’s with heavy heart that am announcing the separation of me and ma wife Mrs Olufunke Akindele. We’ve both agreed to go our separate ways coz of irreconcilable differences. We still best of friends and we 4ever remain gud friends (sic).”

However, many came to believe the story when Oloyede deleted the initial message and posted, “Am doing just fine, gettn along without u, don’t need u anymore in ma life. u d greatest mistake av made in recent time (sic).”

Funke and her husband are said to have started having problems not too long after their wedding owing to the fact she rushed into the marriage because her younger sister was already married.

A source close to Funke said they had been having problems, which the actress did not reveal to anybody. “As it is now, the husband has gone on Facebook to expose it. Well, the bottom line is that they are no more, that’s all.”

Reasons given for the marriage failure include Kehinde’s many wives and children, Funke’s busy schedule as well as claims that she is not submissive.
